The Bay of Islands and inshore waters from Cape Brett to the Poor Knights Islands to Bream Head.

Situation:

A low moves east of the country today while a weakening trough becomes slow moving over the upper North Island. A ridge spreads across much of the country today, and remains until Thursday. Another low approaches the country from the Tasman Sea on Friday.

Tuesday: Northwest 15 knots, easing to variable 5 knots this morning. Easterly 10 knots developing this evening. Sea slight. Fair visibility in a few showers, turning to rain this evening.

Outlook:

Outlook until midnight Friday: Wednesday: Rising to northeast 15 knots in the morning, and to easterly 25 knots in the afternoon. Easing to easterly 20 knots in the evening. Rain, heavy at times. Thursday: Tending northeast 20 knots late. Easing to showers early. Friday: Easing to northerly 15 knots. Rain at times.
